Demo inédita com vocais de Andre Matos é divulgada no YouTube

Um material com Andre Matos nos vocais foi divulgado pela primeira vez no YouTube. Trata-se de uma demo de 1989 com quatro músicas de um projeto do guitarrista e compositor Silvio Vartan, da antiga banda Exhort.

Na época, os músicos utilizaram um gravador cassete de quatro canais Tascam para registrar as faixas na casa de Silvio. As músicas são “Tell Me”, “Pretty Girl”, “So You’re Back” e “Babe Let’s Go!”. Ouça abaixo.

A formação da demo era composta por Andre Matos (vocal), Marcos Kleine (guitarra), Silvio Vartan (guitarra), Nando Machado (baixo) e Cássio Audi (bateria).

“Devido ao falecimento de nosso amigo de infância, o Andre, achamos que estas músicas deveriam ser ouvidas”, declarou Silvio em comunicado.

"A noite era escura e a névoa, intensa, no momento em que o guerreiro se preparava para ir em direção a mais uma batalha. Sem saber que seria a mais sanguinária de todas, ele pediu proteção ao espírito da Floresta Negra antes de iniciar a sua jornada.

A horda inimiga era poderosa, mas ele sabia que nunca falharia, pois era um protetor da lei, lutando pela honra e pela glória. Esse guerreiro foi forjado no trovão e no aço pelos deuses e batizado no fogo com o nome sagrado: Steellord!

Aos deuses ele prometeu a vitória e clamou pela união daqueles que vestiam couro e correntes em suas armaduras. Estes, ergueram as suas espadas como sinal de devoção e partiram com ele sob a luz da lua cheia, prontos para destruir todos os posers e falsos como se estivessem entre o martelo e a bigorna: a guerra pelo Metal havia sido declarada naquele momento.

Caminharam sob montanhas, vales e pântanos em direção à sagrada terra do Oeste, cruzando árvores centenárias até avistarem, ao longe, o campo de batalha, onde os inimigos estavam todos apostos. Os guerreiros do Metal sabiam que a recompensa seria entrar na sala dos prazeres e da luxúria ao morrer em conflito, mas o pedido de Mayhem era para que lutassem. Assim, eles ouviram o seu comando e olharam para o céu, acreditando o que nunca morreriam. Enquanto uma fria névoa ainda tocava em seus rostos, os deuses os protejeram e os lembraram: "Não quebrem a promessa".

Os inimigos não eram palios para eles, pois os guerreiros do Metal possuíam a ira e o ódio. Titânio corria em suas veias. O fogo saía dos seus olhos. Suas espadas cortavam os braços e pernas dos fracos inimigos, o martelo esmagava os crânios e a lança perfurava o coração. Os reais estavam vencendo, gritando entre o fogo da guera ao olhar os inimigos queimarem, evocando os deuses do aço.

Suas forças e o infinito poder vinham de tempos perdidos na memória. Não ouve piedade mas também não humilharam o inimigo derrotado, pois esse era um sinal de força e bravura.

Ano pós ano, os guerreiros do Metal travaram essa guerra diária contra os inimigos falsos, dando sangue e suor. Eles nunca se renderam aos seus inimigos. Eles eram fortes e invenciveis, pois estavam unidos até a morte.

A última cruzada em nome dos deuses do aço e do fogo foi intensa e sua recompensa, grandiosa. Os guerreiros foram glorificados com a redenção de todos em nome do Metal. E então puderam, com honra e glória, sair da montanha onde o fogo da luta ainda ardia, entoando hinos de guerra e prontos para a próxima batalha."

Quando se trata de heavy metal clássico, o heavy britânico e o alemão foram os mais gloriosos e é justamente o alemão quem produz essa pérola desconhecida que se assemelha muito as bandas britânicas da NWOBHM. O Black Fate lançou apenas esse único disco em 1986 e atrevo a dizer que esse disco tem grandes influências de Running Wild e Judas Priest.

A produção é clássica dos anos 80, como a maioria dos discos da época.

Um ponto fora da curva (e mesmo assim muito bom) é a música Child Of Hell que entraria fácil em qualquer disco de alguma banda de AOR da mesma década.

Esse disco é indispensável na prateleira de colecionadores/historiados de heavy metal clássico.
